Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SYT8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SYT8 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SYT8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SYT8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where SYT8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
