Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SYP-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SYP-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher SYP-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SYP-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and PAAD show a favorable association.

COAD, BRCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where SYP-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
