Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SYNDIG1L RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SYNDIG1L’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where SYNDIG1L RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SYNDIG1L is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, THCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where SYNDIG1L tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
