Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SUGT1P4-STRA6LP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SUGT1P4-STRA6LP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where SUGT1P4-STRA6LP RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SUGT1P4-STRA6LP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, BRCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where SUGT1P4-STRA6LP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
