Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SUGT1-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SUGT1-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where SUGT1-DT RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SUGT1-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, COAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where SUGT1-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
