Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STT3B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STT3B data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher STT3B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STT3B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where STT3B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
