Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STT3B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of STT3B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where STT3B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types STT3B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, THCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where STT3B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
