Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STK17B RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated STK17B data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher STK17B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STK17B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRP, UVM, and LUAD are the cancer types where STK17B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
