Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STIM1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STIM1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher STIM1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STIM1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUAD show a favorable association.
UCEC, READ, and LUAD are the cancer types where STIM1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
