Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STAG3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STAG3 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher STAG3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STAG3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD are the cancer types where STAG3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
