Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ST8SIA2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ST8SIA2 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher ST8SIA2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ST8SIA2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

COAD, LIHC, and LAML are the cancer types where ST8SIA2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
