Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ST20-MTHFS RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ST20-MTHFS data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher ST20-MTHFS RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ST20-MTHFS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PAAD show a favorable association.
UVM, CESC, and HNSC are the cancer types where ST20-MTHFS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
