Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ST18 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ST18 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher ST18 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ST18 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and DLBC show a favorable association.
PAAD, DLBC, and HNSC are the cancer types where ST18 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
