Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPTBN5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPTBN5 data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SPTBN5 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPTBN5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and LGG are the cancer types where SPTBN5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
