Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPON1-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPON1-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SPON1-AS1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPON1-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRP, HNSC, and COAD are the cancer types where SPON1-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
