Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPEG Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPEG data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher SPEG Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPEG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ACC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SPEG Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
