Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATA48 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPATA48 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher SPATA48 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATA48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and HNSC show a favorable association.
UVM, ACC, and HNSC are the cancer types where SPATA48 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
