Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATA48 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SPATA48 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thymoma (THYM), where higher SPATA48 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATA48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
THYM, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where SPATA48 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
