Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SPATA2L RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SPATA2L data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher SPATA2L RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SPATA2L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and KIRC show a favorable association.
UCS, ACC, and LGG are the cancer types where SPATA2L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
