Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOX6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOX6 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SOX6 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOX6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and LSCC show a favorable association.

GBM, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SOX6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
