Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOX17 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOX17 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SOX17 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOX17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD are the cancer types where SOX17 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
