Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SOS2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SOS2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SOS2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SOS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, LUAD, and PRAD are the cancer types where SOS2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
