Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORD114-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORD114-2 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SNORD114-2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORD114-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LAML and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, ACC, and LAML are the cancer types where SNORD114-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
