Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORA71B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNORA71B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where SNORA71B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNORA71B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, HNSC, and READ are the cancer types where SNORA71B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
