Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNORA5A RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SNORA5A data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher SNORA5A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNORA5A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and CHOL show a favorable association.
THCA, UVM, and LGG are the cancer types where SNORA5A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
