Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNHG31 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SNHG31’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where SNHG31 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SNHG31 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where SNHG31 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
