Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SNCA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SNCA data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SNCA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SNCA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD, LGG, and SKCM are the cancer types where SNCA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
