Across TCGA cell cohorts, SMUG1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,111 significant associations in total. BREAST shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMUG1-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Spliceosomal tri-snRNP complex assembly, Cell redox homeostasis, and Viral budding via host ESCRT complex. Each is linked with SMUG1 in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMUG1-to-partner and partner-to-SMUG1 results are reported.
