Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMR3A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SMR3A data layer compared with 11 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher SMR3A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMR3A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD, LIHC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SMR3A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
