Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMIM8 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 13,351 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMIM8-associated proteins across cancer lineages are PM20D2, SYNCRIP, and SCAF8. Each is linked with SMIM8 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMIM8-to-partner and partner-to-SMIM8 results are reported.
