Across TCGA cell cohorts, SMIM8 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 4,451 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMIM8-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of mitochondrial transcription, Subtelomeric heterochromatin formation, and Regulation of body fluid levels. Each is linked with SMIM8 in more than 12 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMIM8-to-partner and partner-to-SMIM8 results are reported.
