Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMIM14 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SMIM14 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SMIM14 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMIM14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where SMIM14 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
