Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMIM11B RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SMIM11B data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where higher SMIM11B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMIM11B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and LUSC show a favorable association.
CHOL, READ, and CESC are the cancer types where SMIM11B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
