Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SMG6-IT1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SMG6-IT1 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher SMG6-IT1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SMG6-IT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LUAD show a favorable association.
KICH, LIHC, and DLBC are the cancer types where SMG6-IT1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
