Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMC2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 21,196 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMC2-associated genes across cancer lineages are CENPM, CDKN3, and GINS1. Each is linked with SMC2 in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMC2-to-partner and partner-to-SMC2 results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, SMC2 versus CENPM in GBM, with a Pearson correlation of 0.82.
