Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMC1B mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 6,019 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMC1B-associated genes across cancer lineages are COX15, DONSON, and APEH. Each is linked with SMC1B in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMC1B-to-partner and partner-to-SMC1B results are reported.
