Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMAD5-AS1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 7,091 significant associations in total. STAD shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMAD5-AS1-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are U2-type prespliceosome assembly, Oxidative phosphorylation, and Outer mitochondrial membrane organization. Each is linked with SMAD5-AS1 in more than 14 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMAD5-AS1-to-partner and partner-to-SMAD5-AS1 results are reported.
