Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLIRP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLIRP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where SLIRP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLIRP is over-expressed in tumor.

LIHC, HNSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLIRP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
