Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLFN5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLFN5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SLFN5 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLFN5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUSC show a favorable association.
UCEC, ESCA, and SCLC are the cancer types where SLFN5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
