Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC8B1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC8B1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC8B1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC8B1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, SARC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SLC8B1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
