Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC7A6OS RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC7A6OS data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SLC7A6OS RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC7A6OS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.
CESC, LUSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where SLC7A6OS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
