Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC7A11 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC7A11 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SLC7A11 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC7A11 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, PRAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where SLC7A11 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
