Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC7A10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC7A10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where SLC7A10 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC7A10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, BRCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where SLC7A10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
