Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC6A14P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC6A14P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where SLC6A14P1 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC6A14P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where SLC6A14P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
