Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC38A5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC38A5 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SLC38A5 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC38A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.

GBM, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where SLC38A5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
