Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A31 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC25A31 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC25A31 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC25A31 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and READ show a favorable association.

HNSC, OV, and ESCA are the cancer types where SLC25A31 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
