Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A31 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC25A31’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where SLC25A31 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC25A31 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
CHOL, COAD, and KICH are the cancer types where SLC25A31 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
