Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC24A4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC24A4 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SLC24A4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC24A4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
CCRCC and GBM are the cancer types where SLC24A4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
