Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC1A4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC1A4 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SLC1A4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC1A4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLC1A4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
