Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC17A6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC17A6 data layer compared with 10 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SLC17A6 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC17A6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and ESCA show a favorable association.

UCEC, COAD, and DLBC are the cancer types where SLC17A6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
